She Had Heard Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

She Had Heard

FOR SHE HAD HEARD

A great dark cloud
That darkens the desolate desert sky
Casting a cooling shadow of His presence
To those who heeded His ' come out from amonst them'
And to the promised land they sojourn
Even Rahab acknoledged the great news
The same, Jericho trembled in terror
To her, a time of decision and submission
From her, we learn that God keeps His promises
The scarlet ribon was a sign of salvation
And by His blood, became He the propitiation of our sins
Sinners heard the salvation fame and rejoiced
And darkness shook in terror
Rehab hid the Word in her heart and was saved.
His spies are in our midst
Like Rehab lets interact with them
For salvation still calls from Calvary
