She Proposed Poem by Randy McClave

She Proposed

She wanted to get married badly
But, no one proposed to her sadly,
She had already purchased her wedding dress
All white, and only to God to confess.
A man she had already chose
She already pictured him in his wedding clothes,
Soon she would call him her only man
Finally again she'ld be a wife, a mother, that was the plan.
Of course she had already gave him her booty
As that was a gift and also a womans main duty,
She always cleaned and also maintained his house
She wanted to prove to him she'd be a better spouse.
But, now she wanted desperately to be married
Over the threshold again she wanted to be carried,
She desperately wanted to be known as a wife
For the rest of her natural born life.
A woman wants to be known as a Mrs
With love and compliments, and hugs, and many kisses,
She now proudly wanted to carry his surname
Always with pride, and honor and dignity and fame.
But, to her he never popped that one main magical question
Maybe he didn't love her, or her marriage suggestion,
So, she got on her knees and she again did propose
He looked deep into her eyes, and his reply was, "NO"!
Why should he get married again, he again thought
The milk is free, so now why should it ever be bought,
Of course he wanted a woman to have and hold
And a woman to keep him warm whenever his feet get cold.
She desperately and soulfully wanted him as her mate
She was so tired and not happy with him only as a date,
So, she sadly got on her knees again and proposed
She now would do whatever he wanted, I have supposed.
