She's Leaving Me (A Short Series Of Senryu) Senryu's? Senriyi? ?

Rating: 5.0

She is leaving me
My heart is breaking in two
I pretend it's not

She is leaving me
I pretend it is all right
My heart is broken

She is all grown up
I pretend that she is not
She is leaving home

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is my first intentional senryu, apparently some of my haiku were actually senryu. This was kindly pointed out to me by my new friend Wes Vogler. I am not sure I this will even qualify, as I stitched together three separate senryu that, together tell a story
Hope you like it!

Ho Elisabeth Excellent. Well expressed. 2nd stanza L2 needs one more syllable maybe it's.. it is Don't you hate it when we miscount. we all do. Next step is to sound as oriental as possible. Drop every un-needed word you can. As far as I know it's senryus I've only been at senryus for a month and they are fun. Remember senryus and haikus should read if possible like a fortune cookie. We strive. congratulations.
