She Was A Hybrid Flower; I Was Only A Weed In Her Garden Poem by Ted Sheridan

She Was A Hybrid Flower; I Was Only A Weed In Her Garden

Rating: 5.0

Always before when she would look at me
with those eyes, I would know
that she'd be questioning each and everything
she had learned about loving
or being in love... with a man like me.....

Today, when she hugged me
in the way which only she could
and she whispered that word 'Goodbye'
It was the very first time I'd ever felt
it in her touch or had heard it in the sound
of her voice, and fully recognized....
she had truly loved me___
Sadly, having ever remained the same
I had never felt the need to evolve
being the Weed that I am___

Hey! ... one person's weed is another's flower...Life is too short to remain someone's weed, and if you stick around, you'll surely only get your head lopped off, have your roots pulled from under you, be poisoned in a horrible fashion...or blow away in the wind... Hugs, Dee
