She Was No Good Poem by Randy McClave

She Was No Good

They told me that she was no good
They then told me that she couldn't be trusted,
But, believing her I knew that I could
Even though others she had disgusted.
I knew that she could never lie or cheat
And I knew for me that she truly cared,
And I knew that she wasn't full of sin and deceit
After the moments together, her and I had shared.
I knew that of me, she would never be ashamed
The same way as I could never be ashamed of her,
My love for her I always did proudly proclaimed
And my love and my trust no one could ever deter.
We lived together as a happy couple in my home
Daily she would tell me how much she truly loved me,
Then I noticed how her mind and soul did roam
Then from my life, she became an absentee.

I sadly saw and heard how she really was
All were truthful about wherever she had laid or stood,
They were all correct and then my head went abuzz
When they all had told me, that she was no good.
