She Was The Ocean Poem by Randy McClave

She Was The Ocean

I enjoyed looking at her fingernails
They reminded me of the breathtaking conch shells,
She was such a very beautiful girl
Her teeth were as white as an oyster's pearl.
Her hair it reminded me of the ocean's breeze
But, it was more fluent than any of the seas,
And like the shore her skin was tanned
Like the beaches sand.
Into the ocean she went alone for a wade
I watched the dolphins as they played,
Then into the ocean a rock I then threw
Her eyes were as deep, and as blue.
I slowly breathed in the ocean's air
Her scent, it too was also mingling there,
She was like the sea, but out of reach
As I took a long walk upon the lonely beach.
