She Was Very Friendly Poem by Hebert Logerie

She Was Very Friendly

Rating: 5.0

She was very friendly
Not loving her was impossible for me
She was too pretty
Forgetting her was inadmissible for me
She was so polite
That the hurricane made her laugh
She loved life
And she had a beautiful smile.

She is way too polite
She really loves peace
She is always a delight
Of joy. I know her very well
She left abruptly. Listen to the bell
I'm sad. I'm no longer one piece
I'm uptight. She was too pretty
To forever forget her smile.

The chapel bells are ringing
Another season. Very often
I'm crying. I'm sad. Autumn
Is here, but Alain is dead. Spring
Will come late. The birds are humming
They're bereaving. They no longer sing.

P.S. I dedicate this poem to Alain Barriere (Bellec)who left us on December 18,2019.
