Shells Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Shells

Shells

High on the mountains
If walking open eyed
One may encounter
Sea shells

What?

Can be as it is wise to ask,
The question.

A wonder.

Shells, the mobile homes
For many creatures
Turtles, snails
Interesting

And ostrich
This crazy animal
Jealous; in sands seeks
For a cover, bikers’ helmet.
The today’s urbanized citizens
too, with heads in sandy helmets
are unaware, Khalil teaches in YMCA
what they should do, orienting new comers!

Space for questions:
Who, why, what, when?

Khalil wants letters for resume
YMCA does not pay the volunteers
The ordinary people are wearing shells
They are ostriches, head in sand.

This is the world we live in
Work is done by a needy
Opportunists cheating
Majority is sleeping

Khalil’s questions on blue papers
They are worth considering.
