Shock Of Life. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Shock Of Life.

Rating: 5.0

Sudden is the shock of life
When passing the twenties you realize
You're not a kid anymore.
That life's expecting much of you.
That your parents are putting all
Their hopes on your skinny shoulders.
Sudden is the shock of life
When you discover with dismay
That your classmates of yesterday
will snatch a job, with no remorse,
From before your angelic face.
It's a hunger race.
And you yourself put the bar high
Though you know your country‘s poor
And she doesn't care
least for her youth.
And you're damn broke
And there isn't anybody to rely on.
Sudden is the shock of life
When in the middle of the thirties
You still find yourself
Jobless,
Friendless,
Broken.

Nice poem that emphasize about how important the job is in our life. Maybe with it we could create the many contacts but this friendship is based on opportunities. The true friendship is based on love and sharing. Thank you for sharing.

The irony is even if you have a job you would be friendless! and vice versa. - Real speak! Good poem!
