Shore Up

Shore up my prayer life Lord
And bring it up to snuff
I know for sure that I haven't been
Definitely praying enough
The devil attempts to sidetrack
My time alone with you
And before I know it the day is gone
And prayers left unprayed for too

Time is of the essence here
For we know that our days are numbered
So many things to distract us
And so many are encumbered
The gospel still our source of hope
Praise God for Jesus Christ
Still He seeks to save the lost
We're called to show that Light

Shore up my prayer life Lord
Don't let me escape the fact
There are some people who will never get saved
If our prayer life isn't in tact
So give me a fresh glimpse of eternity
Earth is but a vapour
How I would love to see answered prayer
In the lives of those I've prayed for!
