Should A Morning
Should a morning come I do not know,
and you awake to see the day,
would you have had a fleeting dream,
of something lost and gone away?
Then later on, when all alone,
would your memory stray,
to walk the fields of days gone by,
where you and I still play?
And I hope there would be comfort,
and in your heart some joy to find,
to recall I loved you dearly,
with heart, and soul, and mind.
