Should We Have Stayed At Home Poem by gershon hepner

Should We Have Stayed At Home

Should we have stayed at home, not moved
to greener-looking pastures
where we've forgotten to be moved
by snow that fell once? Last years
recall the first before we left;
perhaps if we had stayed,
our edges, not of past bereft,
would not now be so frayed.
