Show Them Door - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

Have we gone to primary and medieval level?
Is there anything left for us to reveal?
Why have we become so intolerant towards womenfolk?
Why do we have rape.torture and murders in our stock?

Not this before, it was on such rise?
Their attitude has become a real surprise
Ladies are picked up in open on road
The police are on run but reach on the spot when they are dead

Even neighbors are adding fuel to fire
Little girls are molested and murdered
Is the law and order main problem?
The police are capable enough to solve them

How far police can provide protection?
When known people and relatives create such situation
The politicians give religious color and prove their weaknesses
They are only power hungry and pass on the bucks

The money, ear marked for development, is spent of publicity
Their own ministers are involved in bribery
God can save the country if they are entrusted with more powers?
The public should show them exit door
