Signs Of Preoccupation Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Signs Of Preoccupation

Delving into death's signs of preoccupation,
attempting to figure out his calculations
and equations showing him who to take next.

Life having no say in what happens, standing
by helplessly, with a deepening silence.

Capturing each being in death's embrace, as
they are taken away in a moment of quickened
silent sorrow.
