Silence - Poem by Josh Weiss

Silent passings to a friend,
and dear emotions I do tend.
For love is a mighty force,
smooth from afar but truly coarse,
when those you love do not know,
you love them but love in woe.
For when a friend remains only this,
the heart drowns into that abyss.
If love does live within the soul,
then why within do I feel this hole?
Am I without the spirit of love,
unable to be with anyone thereof?
I do not know but know that pain,
of trying to love someone in vain.
