Silence And Solitude Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Silence And Solitude

Remembering moments of our love, so special and seemingly
immortal, grasping at memories of what we had, we two
sharing one heart through the years.

Feeling pangs of sadness while thinking of our times to-
gether, alas, all that's left of our love is the memories
and images treasured lovingly in the past.

An empty feeling of loneliness touching this broken heart
of mine, longing for the life and love we once had, now
looking back through the years.

Wondering how we could've let one another go without even
trying to keep our love alive, this heart heavy with the
feelings of our long lost love, my dear.

A future dark and bleak, walking into the moonlight we
used to share, hand in hand, talking, now only the
silence and solitude of the long lost love we both have
shared so long ago.
