Silent Cries

If you could only hear my silent cries,
How I mourn for my freedom,
Beyond these stone walls,
Nightmares haunt me,
Through the day,
As I weep,
My deadly cries,
Daily beatings,
For no crime,
I commit,
Hesitation is not an option,
For me now,
These stone walls,
Prison me,
Bind me,
In a place where I don’t belong,
My silent cries,
Echo throughout the room,
I weep,
For a reason I can’t explain,
In this dark room,
Where I’m alone,
I’m always alone,
As I weep,
My silent cries.
