Silent Loneliness Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Silent Loneliness

Silent loneliness tightening around me like a noose,
choking, killing me softly in an hour of midnight
when no one else is around.

Treading cautiously down hallways of unknown darkness,
hoping to come out the other end without dying in the
purpose.
