Simple Question
I was just grazing on virgin land
To find out whether I can find some friend
“You are amazing person” I heard mild voice
She was with lots of sheep’s and making noise
I wondered how came this desert lover!
On this land which hardly finds any rainy shower
Always short of rain and green patches seemed just mirage
She was no doubt young and of my age
“Hi, what are you doing on this strange land “? She casually asked
“I am on poetic land and try to find lovely lines of some kind” I replied
“How come you are here in this solitary place?
I asked much to her surprise and brought little smile on face
I come here daily and make sheep’s graze
We are going through critical phase
Rain is rare here and we have to look only at sky
Earth has developed cracks and gone dry
I thought of good music but came across sad one
Here she was expecting favor from none
They wanted only nature’s blessings with bare minimum need
I felt shame as how much we were burdened with the greed
They have natural music to sing
About rain, desert and other melodies to bring
It has its own rhythm with powerful feeling
It doubles and enhances joy when it is actually raining
I just packed my all belonging
It was received well with human feeling
I belonged to this people who were real one
I asked simple question to self “so far what have we done?
