Sin Tries To Stifle The Truth Poem by Gary James Smith

Sin Tries To Stifle The Truth

Sin Tries To Stifle The Truth

Sin tries to stifle the truth
But the truth can not be extinguished
For Jesus Christ is the Light of the world
His title shall never be relinquished
As He is the way, the truth and the life
He's an all encompassing Saviour
Only those who delight in His Word
Will find they are in God's favour!

You know there's an unsettling in your heart
That each day you've been discovering
Well friend praise God...I've a revelation for you
It's probably the result of sin
It has never been labeled as to what it is
In the secular realm today
But in the realm of Spirititual things
Sin! ! ! ...is not okay! ! !

We all have sinned and come short of God's glory
Our stature there is the same
Only one man who lived without sin
And the Lord Jesus Christ is His name
That's why He can be our Saviour
For in Him we are justified
God accepted His death on our behalf
When the Lord Jesus was crucified

God made Himself responsible for your Salvation
The gospel is preached every where
But there's a responsibility that's yours as well
You have to decide with your will
Don't put it off until tomorrow
What can be had by you today
Call upon the name of the Lord
And begin your brightest day!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
