Singing With The Moon- Translated Poem Of BàNg Bá Lân: TiếNg HáT Trong Trăng

Rating: 2.8

Under high sky with silver clouds and full moon
A dike sighs its solitude while bamboo trees rhyme sad tunes.
Kite flute calls for more melodious winds
Tree branches sway gently with soft moonlight.
Oh miss, you bail out water by the roadside
Why do you bail out the golden moon?

Above is English translation of The Vietnamese Poem of Bàng Bá Lân:

TIẾNG HÁT TRONG TRĂNG

Trời cao, mây bạc, trăng tròn
Đê than hiu quạnh, tre buồn nỉ non.
Diều ai gọi gió véo von
Cành xoan đùa ánh trăng suông nhẹ nhàng.
Hỡi cô tát nước bên đàng
Sao cô lại múc trăng vàng đổ đi?

Your translation poem, Singing With The Moon, is very interesting: Oh, young lady who bails out water by the roadside....Why do you bail out the golden moon? How beautiful picture! Thank you for sharing your new poem.
