Sins Of A Love Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

Sins Of A Love

it is the gravestone covering my sins
out of one I suffered most
That I was not given a value by you
How invaluable and unassessed soul
buried within leaving for
earthworms
to play within a piths of darkness
I had waited for years for honesty
of your lips and eyes to work
it out. Nay, I was perplexed
and dumbed when I noticed
how I was neglected
before your tactless blindness
I was defeated on and on,
continuously, when I noticed
your desires fell on other destinies
all I was inquisitive checking whether
I am your choice.
how many times I was disappointed
many enquiries were banned
my tears could not survive
before the flames of an inferno
coming out of my heart - vaporized
dreams staggered as sighs.
You were hysterical when I pleaded
to be loved.
I was threatened while you
wanted to be a feathered bird
to fly missions out of my bounds.
Now I have decided to be a one
self-banished fleeing from
the kingdom where I was sent
by a mistake, for I felt hell
in Adam's land. Oh! God I have sinned
yelling for the banned fruit
from your lass.
