Sir Isaac Newton Poem by Gayathri Seetharam

Sir Isaac Newton

Sir Isaac Newton
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
Newton when sitting beneath an apple tree
Saw an apple fall from the tree
And came up with the Theory of Gravity
And calculated a related constant
The acceleration due to gravity as 9.8 m/secsquare
And this makes the force behind a falling body
As dependent on the mass of the body
Newton came up with the 3 laws of motion
And defined inertia
And showed that white light was comprised
Of the spectrum of seven colours
And I am going to see if mixing all the seven colours on
An artist's palette is going to result in the reverse reaction
Of white light being formed;
Newton was the beacon of light in physics
He was the ton of society (2)

Newton was one of the greatest scientists ever. Most people don't know - he wrote far more books on religion than on science.
