Insanity and evil became German Chancellor
Adolf Hitler, building his super race
Invading countries, destroying, killing
Seeking extermination of Jews.

Invaded Poland defying treaty
With France and Britain
Europe overwhelmed by Nazi tyrann.
Churchill refusing to surrender.

Churchill in his sixty-sixth year
Became Prime Minister
With many cabinet ministers
Wanting Britain to surrender.

Churchill refused to capitulate
Rallied his heroic people,
And Britain stood against infamy
Suffering air raids, destruction, death.

Churchill, stubborn man of destiny
Heroic leadership and determination
Stood firm and set Europe free
From Nazi yoke of oppression.
