Sinner Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Sinner

Rating: 5.0

Too late
He fell upon his knees
Begging forgiveness.

But had lived a wasted life
Debauched, selfish wanting only pleasure
With no regard for man or God.

Pleading for mercy
He beat bloody fists upon Heaven's gates
But no Saviour came.

Wringing his hands
Terrified of coming torments
He entered Hell's threshold.

Finding perpetual agonies
Tortured by Satan's demons
Dancing grotesquely among the flames.

Colin, Very interesting poems, well in writing... But, the repentance is no time not late in Christianity for sinners.... If it is true repentances.... 10... Sincerely, Tsira

A good story within your poem, plenty of sinners in this world like the Bali bombers who to this day never got down on their knees to beg forgivness only a sickly grin on their faces- thanks for the poem to make us all think, regards Ken e Hall
