Siren Poem by soren Barrett

Siren

Childhood vision I wished would stay
You a dream that faded away
A projection of the past
Wind born scents don't last

Born in the breath of night
Mermaid seduced, on wings of flight
Tempest torn away from me
Held safe deep in the belly of the sea

Face of an angel with a fish tail
Top of a woman below scale
Carried away on waves gone
Your memory in the wind carries on
