(((Skating On Thin Ice))) Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

(((Skating On Thin Ice)))

Rating: 3.6

The frozen water tears me down-

For i am upon thin ice...

Frazzled nerves into frightening curves-

Half-split me apart not once but twice;

The Winter winds they toyed with me-

As i slid on the rhythmic freeze...

Too soon the melt of ice 'twas felt-

Broken and lost at all cost in Winter breeze;

Cut cold and bleeding fast, i am-

In the numb of the chilll of Winter ice-

Nothing i do can repair the anger in you...

Split apart yet even more than twice;
