Slavery Poem by Emmanuel Alabi

Slavery

Rating: 5.0

We never knew slavery was around the corner,
until it farted
and its wickedness polluted the air.

"Little girls sex-trafficked,
Boys slave in sweat shops."
taken away from their borders,
tricked and kidnapped.

Africans, we are the masters of our slavery,
we abuse ourselves,
we bask in the euphoria of faith in the fake system of government.
When will the masses lives matter to the elite?
Will black live ever matter?

Hey Slavery!
Do you understand when i say, "Get off our land"?
we cherish our freedom,
freedom indeed.
No more slavery in this land,
Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!
