Sleeping Pill Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Sleeping Pill

Sleeping pill

The thrill in the shrill will trill on the scene
Still there is no will to give up the fill
She be screaming
You be dreaming
Dreaming binge her shouting a sleeping pill

Sleeping pill

Sleep deprivation is bad news
Leaving your mind with sad views
Every evening a disappointment
Every day a bad development
Pills help but can be addictive
In the morning you are reactive
Not coherent not composed
Going to drink is totally opposed
People end up alcoholics
In the same league as chocoholics
Look to your spouse in the house
Look to them the ache they douse

Sleeping pill

My shouts out to all people with chronicle illness
Those that depend on drugs for their fitness
Perhaps you have chronic cancer
Medicine has failed to find a permanent answer
Perhaps something like chronic alcohol abuse
You have tried the AA or herbs, but its no use
Perhaps you suffer a nervous system malade
Chronic pain when you drive the Honda Ballade
To you all my fellow humans, yours is a heroic existence
considering the demands on life's little insistences
Sleeping pills often allow you to rest easy
other drugs like cocaine making you queasy
Alcohol helping, but long term causing dependence
when ultimately you want freedom and independence
I just wanna say whatever be your affliction
At PH we feel for you and have love and affection
Never ever ever ever give up, go on and on
You are not gone until you are gone

To you all my fellow humans, yours is a heroic existence considering the demands on life's little insistences.....the insistence should have a voice an organized path and a goal to achieve after all. Yes insomnia not good. Treat it at the earliest.
