Sleepless Romance Poem by Aiden Florence

Sleepless Romance

My heart's a long lost affection
That she cannot forgive,
I cannot inhabit her dream
I can only believe
She fails to foresee
This beautiful love I perceive

The pain of affection
Is too much to handle
As if I wallow in sorrow,
This wine colored rose Margaret
Fills open wounds in anguish and regret

This insufferable pain of insomnia
I choose to abide with midnight phobia
Trying to conceal
Scars that'll never heal
Attempting to break away
From the routine ballet

Even the romantic moment fell apart
Against the scars of her broken heart
This is only the beginning
Of one tragic ending

Parental discretionary not advised,
Not even you can save him
From the biding thorns of heartbreak intact
