Slip Into Darkness Poem by Dorsey Baker

Slip Into Darkness

baby if you want to
come into the darkness
come naked
and don't
bring any clothes
when you come
bring me a thorn
don't bring me
no rose
I'm a thug
and I know
the street
I don't know
where the sugar is
but I know its sweet
Baby you've got
the thighs of a giant
and the legs of a chair
you look so beautiful
naked
no clothes need you
wear
but when you come
into the darkness
you know
there aint no light
so you don't have
no right
to put up a fight!
