Slow Salvation Poem by Smoky Hoss

Slow Salvation

Rating: 5.0

When you walk on water
don't be surprised
that you can,
simply give thanks
for the temperature
below freezing.
Sometimes the cold
bears a blessing-
If you've felt
the sunshine
and ever wondered
if the sun is sincere
in it's warmth,
recall the days of clouds
understanding that even loss
can carry compassion-
Peace comes, and it goes
as it sees fit,
we, it's
image bearers
bringing burdens,
blessings and blunders,
never know for certain
if we are remembered or forgotten-

hey, smoky! i'm reading this for the second time this morning. i guess the title attracted me, and i like this poem even if it leaves me wondering. it flows. and i relate to the images, feelings, and your own wonderings in it. blessings and blunders strikes me a particularly good phrase. -glen

A beautiful poem that brings thought of struggles through a life time with positive outcome. Wonderful words that have a calming effect.
