Slug Slime Poem by Ima Ryma

Slug Slime

A slug's a snail without a shell,
And so the slime of a slug is
Means to defend itself - do tell!
Keeping nosy out of slug biz,
By numbing those who come too near,
And making unwanted think twice
When the sticky stuff does adhere.
Messing with a slug is not nice.
The slime is also G.P.S.,
Allowing the slug to retrace
Its previous trail backwards, yes,
And to revisit the same place.

Slug slime has purposes of worth,
Including a good 'goo'gle earth.
