Small Blue Ball Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Small Blue Ball

Rating: 5.0

Gravity was
(you know)

getting me...down.

I felt like
the weight of the world was

on my shoulders

& I was no Charles Atlas
just an emotional weakling

getting sand kicked in my face

by a muscle-bound Life
who only laughed at my plight

but then
(but then)

you kissed me
(right...right...here)

& I felt like
I was an apple

falling (you know) uP!

or that I had just stepped outside
the hatch

& was floating in space
(weightless...weightless)

your kiss
the small blue ball

startling the darkness.
