Snow Sculptures Poem by Marilyn Lott

Snow Sculptures

Rating: 5.0

It was white and fresh and new
As it blanketed the land
It looked like delicious sculptures
So refreshing and so grand

Everyone took a deep breath
As they ventured outside that day
Beautiful, it was beyond words
Some wished that it could stay

Tree’s were dressed for winter
With their snowy over-coats
They looked just like a postcard
Or a Christmas card someone wrote

As I walked along I noticed
A picnic table there
So thick and white and lovely
Why, I really had to stare

Oh, you should have seen, my friend
The frozen pond just beyond
Ducks were trying to swim
Not knowing if they belonged

It was a day I’ll long remember
For it captured my heart for sure
That day amidst the winter
As I enjoyed the snow sculptures!
