Snow Or Rain? Poem by Marilyn Lott

It is winter here in my part of the world
Some places it is icy and cold
Mister winter is blustery for sure
As usual he is lusty and bold.

My friends are saying the snow is coming
Six inches my friend said very soon
Snow men and empty schools I pictured
Snow sparkling by the light of the moon.

But it isn't the same in my part of the world
You see rain has replaced the snow
Raining buckets and very soon we will have
Lake front property, oh yes, I know.

But that is okay, my friends, it is because
Not too long we will have spring weather
What would you pick? Snow or rain?
Picking spring flowers is what I would rather!
