Snow Storm Niko Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

Snow storm Niko had arrived
Heavy snowfall started at two o'clock at night.
Winter winds gently shook strands of waving snow.
Around my house, white light shone on these strands of cold.
Snowfall accumulated up to six inches high.
When ten o'clock arrived, the sun began to shine.
Slow moving white clouds covered the blue sky
But the sun chased these scattered clouds further apart.
On tall pine trees, snow sat on long extended arms.
Snow slid off these branches gradually by shaking breeze.
Thick white snow blanketed everywhere.
On my house deck, playing cats left many prints of their plays.
Rising sun warmed up air temperature steadily
Dripping waters from house roof added sounds of melancholy.

BÃO TUYẾT NIKO

Niko bão tuyết đây rồi
Từ hai giờ sáng tuyết rơi đầy trời
Gió mùa rung sợi tuyết rơi
Quanh nhà, đèn trắng, trắng rơi sợi mùa.
Tuyết rơi dầy cả gang tay
Đến mười giờ sáng nắng vàng hiện ra.
Trời xanh, mây trắng bay ngang
Mặt trời chiếu nắng, tan dần mây bay.
Thông cao, tuyết trắng ngồi cành
Gió rung nhè nhẹ, buột cành tuyết rơi.
Tuyết dầy phủ trắng khắp nơi
Sân nhà in dấu mèo chơi rất nhiều.
Mặt trời chiếu nắng, ấm lên
Mái nhà nhỏ giọt tăng thêm nỗi buồn.
