So Close, But So Far Poem by Rhiley Anne Vincent

So Close, But So Far

I'm hurtin inside
I'm feelin so bad
You're just out of reach
It makes me sad

Dreaming about you doesn't help
It just makes the longing worse
It's like reching insede my pockets
And finding an empty purse

I want to reach out and touch you
But waht would you do then?
So instead I retreat
Back to the safty of my den

Turning up ny music
Anything to drown the hurt
The beat thumps inside my head
But compared to you it's dirt

Stuck inside my room
The door locked behind
I think about you again
Wondeing if you mind

Your eyebrows dark
Your hair so light
You've got the perfect lips
They're always in my sight

I wish oyu could read this
Relize I'm inlove with you
Would you even care?
Are you inlove with me to?

I wish I could read you mind
Know what you think
Feel what you feel
See itin ink
It's wishfuk thinking
But I'm allowed to dream
Allowed to imagine
Let out some steam

I'll have to keep guessing
Looking out for clues
Try keep my hopes up
While my heart is in my shoes
