So I Walked.. Poem by Radhika Karia

I caught a bus, train, an airplane, a car,
So that I could find love near or far.
Sometimes the weather was bad, the lyrics were wrong,
and even you couldn’t hear the melody of my song.

So I walked and I walked to find you, my love…
Even god wouldn’t give me a sign from above.
So you were still no where in sight…
And the time to meet was still not right.

I met all the wrong boys and some nice men too,
And I also gave my heart, to break, to a few.
Sometimes i stopped at a few places longer to realize,
He wasn’t my true love instead, just a cute prize.

So I walked and I walked to find you, my love…
Even god wouldn’t give me a sign from above.
So you were still no where in sight…
And the time to meet was still not right.

My legs were getting tired; my heart was still empty,
I was still looking for love that would make you and me, WE.
Many days passed, and many years went by,
I thought I may not find you before I die.

So I walked and I walked to find you, my love…
This time god sent me a message from above.
‘Don’t you find him or find love anymore’, he said.
‘His love will find its way through time instead’.
