So What? Poem by Solomon Terlumun Tule

So What?

Rating: 5.0

What need there is
for one to amass
all we ought to share!
Think about it.

You snatch all money to your purse
Perhaps, you become the richest
living on planet earth.
So what?

You ride on horses
You build tall houses
Perhaps, the tallest.
So what?

You avoid body scars
You drive good cars
Perhaps, the best.
So what?

You wear fine cloaks
You feel worthy as peacocks
Perhaps, more worthy.
So what?

You eat good food
You have stomach full
Perhaps, the fattest.
So what?

You attend best schools
You have great tools
Perhaps, used only by few men.
So what?

You crush others rights
You make yourself alright
Perhaps, feeling so great.
So what?
So what...
What next?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Motivated from the greed of African leaders, Nigeria in particular. So what next after the greedy amassing of collective wealth is a question to ask.
