Soaring Bubbles Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Soaring Bubbles

Rating: 2.5

Bubble blowing on a summer day…
Hand held stems with empty hoops
Gathering inspiration by cohesion…
A fragile soapy skin in each scoop

Catching the breeze under a blue sky
Releasing feather light globes
Transparent with a pastel blush…
Liberated glistening bubble probes

Sense the excitement of being born
With readiness…lifting and exploring
Great and small, searching the unknown
Attaining great heights; rising…soaring

Thinning air induces a backward glance
Don’t want to fall back to the ground
Bursting and absorbed into the clouds
Circling earth with a whispering sound
