Solitaire Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Solitaire

Rating: 5.0

The game of solitaire is a game for one.
It does not involve any other person.
The game of wits is with faces from a deck.
The characters do not aim to cause heck.

Concentration sorts through red and black.
Alternating colors line up without a smack.
Some cards hide behind the piles of sorting.
Covered from observation while cavorting.

Concentrating as cards are exposed and arranged
The player is skillfully challenged and engaged.
The game of solitaire has benefits and plusses.
You don’t have to worry about debates or fusses.

I like it! I tried to play gin with my husband once and you would have thought we were playing Battle Ship: O)

Sometimes it's just what one needs. No coming second, either. Now there's a bonus. Insightful piece. t x
