Soft Skies With Diamond Eyes Poem by Airda Jones

Soft Skies With Diamond Eyes

Soft stars that appeal to the eye
And sparkle like night lights to the sky
Darkness that no fear to relate
Lonliness, a feeling has that decides to abate

For how could one get lonesome truly
When the sun’s last rays blanket you fully
Present you with day’s last warmth left
As the black sheet is finally met

And still, the moon will always be above
Faithful to daily return if that be enough
But glow along in the shadows unaware to rest
Knowing that to be guardian for all is best

A comfort showing neither bounds nor ends
A gentle gloom that gathers close as a friend
Blowing away, take yourself away
And prepare for the night that will follow tomorrow’s day.
