Soil Amendments
I planted honeysuckle
and trumpet vine.
The hummingbird did not return that year.
So I planted honeysuckle
and trumpet vine
but added patience and hope
to the soil.

What a great title! I like the poem too - but the end is almost TOO subdued. I end up kind of squinting. Like, then what?
