Soldiers' Living Tomb Poem by Ima Ryma

Soldiers' Living Tomb

The U.S.A. powers that be
Insist on fighting wars that cost
Less battlefield fatality,
But more living soldiers be lost.
Trillions of tax dollars are spent
Funding the fancy war machine.
But veterans in real torment -
Little bump in the D.C. scene.
It's up to private sources to
Find ways for veterans to heal.
When asked what D.C. ought to do,
D.C. response is no big deal.

'Lucky' soldiers - in battle died?
'Unlucky' soldiers - suicide?
