Solitary Freedom - Poem by Nika McGuin

If freedom is a lone vagabond
unblocked, free-willed
can freedom is found alone
truly bring happiness?

The freedom of one
may never be parallel
to the freedom of two

You can do as you please
but what good are the things you do
if they're always done alone?
One begins to wonder

Alone and content:
that is the best state
of solitary freedom

Content is nice and all
but we know the scale
tips quite a bit, from
contentment to happiness

Topic(s) of this poem: alone, freedom
