Some Of The Aged Poem by Francis Duggan

Some Of The Aged

Some of the aged in a wheelchair or walking frame or walking with a cane
Old age it does come with many an ache and a pain
Time on the aged body it does take it's toll
Ageing is a thing that is beyond our control
Time as it does ever it keeps ticking away
Every day brings us one nearer to our last night and day
Youth with us only does have a brief stay
Time on our lives does have the final say
Many people as they age grow weaker and ill
Time as always it never stands still
The longest lived human life in time not a long span
On average a few yearsmore for a woman than it is for a man
That time is ourmaster no need to explain
Old age comes with many an ache and a pain.
