Some People Make Me Feel Ashamed Poem by Patti Masterman

Some People Make Me Feel Ashamed

Rating: 5.0

Some people make me feel ashamed
As if they know me all too well,
And of my crass short fallings, sing;
While others make me spread my wings.

But ones I loved, who never loved me
I cringe to see them, as if they know
I loved too much, too soon- and they
Only treated me like yellow snow

Thank god the sun melts it all away.

It's amazing, and wonderful, how in time the Sun does melt away the coldness of life. Very nice poem.

Wow, patti, what an image, somebody makes you feel like yellow snow. I think this is great poetry. We can indeed choose how we allow people to affect us and make it all melt away. Nice write, Patti
