yes, definitely. when things unite, they have a potential energy in them, as a whole. and even the energy in their bonds. and while scattering, each scattered particle has kinetic energy in some amount. the only thing is that energy doesn't have a free will. else it would have inflicted its own destiny, i don't know. maybe...its all wonderful, ain't it?
