Something Missing - Poem by kelsey wallace

He doesn’t know how bad it hurts deep inside
While battling crimes that are too hard to hide
He sees how much love he gives her until
That one day he breaks her, her feelings she’ll spill
He doesn’t realize the pain that he’s caused
If he’d only just ask her, give his life a pause
Maybe one day he’ll realize the truth
She’ll reveal her hidden secret and show him the proof
She’s deeply in love but still her heart aches,
Longing to tell him to change his new ways
But for now, all she has are her memories now lost
Put away in her mind, love’s not worth the cost
She’d hit the rewind button, if she’d only have faith
That things would stay the way that they came
Unwritten pages, and still the future to come
Waiting forever is like a song that’s unsung
But she’ll wait for as long as he needs to see
The pain that he’s causing now that she fell for he.
